Christian Louter is Professor and Director at the Institute of Building Construction, Faculty of Civil Engineering, TU Dresden. He obtained his PhD in 2011 on the topic of structural glass from TU Delft in the Netherlands. From 2010, Christian worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Steel Structures Laboratory at the EPFL in Switzerland. In 2015, Christian returned to TU Delft as an Assistant Professor of Structural Design at the TU Delft in the Netherlands, before joining TU Dresden in 2019.
Next to his research and teaching activities, Christian is an Organiser of the international Challenging Glass Conference series, an Editor-in-Chief of the Glass Structures & Engineering journal (Springer) and member of several international committees.
