Professor Dr.-Ing. Uta Pottgiesser

Professor of Building Construction and Materials at Ostwestfalen-Lippe UAS (TH OWL), Professor of Heritage & Technology at TU Delft (Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment), in the Netherlands. At TH OWL, she is a member of the Institute of Design Strategies (IDS). She is active in the European Facade Network (efn) and is Chair of the NGO DOCOMOMO International and as well editor-in-chief of the Docomomo Journal.

She researches, teaches and lectures internationally and has experience as a practising architect and researching scientist concerned with the protection, reuse and improvement of the built heritage and its environment. Her academic focus is on sustainable building construction, preservation of modern heritage. She is a member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects.
