Working and research interests: History of building techniques, historical building research and monuments to wooden buildings and buildings of the 20th century.


Academic Background

  • since Mai 2021: Project manager with own position in the DFG project “Cultural Heritage Construction”/ subproject: “Board and plank trusses as material-saving wooden constructions of the high modern age”.
  • 2008 – 2021: Research associate at the Chair of Historic Preservation and Building History, Faculty of Architecture, Bauhaus University Weimar.
  • 2015: Doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) with the topic “Wooden Bell Chairs in Thuringia. Construction history from the Middle Ages to the 19th century” at the Bauhaus University Weimar.
  • 2006: Degree in architecture at the TU Dresden / Dip.-Ing.
