- 2008 – 2021: Research associate at the Chair of Historic Preservation and Building History, Faculty of Architecture, Bauhaus University Weimar.
- 2015: Doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) with the topic “Wooden Bell Chairs in Thuringia. Construction history from the Middle Ages to the 19th century” at the Bauhaus University Weimar.
- 2006: Degree in architecture at the TU Dresden / Dip.-Ing.
